ok, it wont be easy but i can do that. I still have a pen from the original pair, and its warm enough now to put it on land and in the water. Half the pond has de-thawed and next week its going to be in the mid 40's during the day.

If it should snow again or freeze i can move him. I will let him sit there for the next two weeks and then try reintroducing him. Hopefully the female will accept him then.

He was in and out of the water today about 50 times, each time the female swan over and he got out. Sometimes he was in longer then others before she came. He is very intimidated by her. I noticed he was trying to eat the newly exposed wet grass while on land, and sticking his head in the water to eat whatever, when he went in. I tried showering the pellets over to him as they are supposed to sink, and left piles on land too, but i don't think he ate any. The ducks are very opportunistic. At any rate i will get him into a pen tomorrow, and make sure he has plenty of food.

I have Mazuri water fowl pellets, i have cracked corn and lettuce as well. If his pen is 25% in the water placing the food at the edge of the water should be good correct? This is what i did with the original pair.

Thank you for you advice!
