You need to immediately capture the cygnet and get it to a wildlife sanctuary or rehabilitation center. Without help, it will die and possibly, may still die from its injuries. It is not likely that the parents will come back if they have not already returned. They were probably extremely scared and did not think that the cygnet survived. The Regal Swan
