Help with elderly mute swan in Ohio

Hello!

Yesterday a mute swan has appeared at my workplace. She has difficulty walking, it is slightly limping, but it moves very slowly, as if it's difficult for her to push her own body weight forward, and that makes me think she might be old.

She is alone but hanged out with our canada geese the first day. Big Bird, as i affectionately call her :-)), is very used to humans (followed me around the lake, while she was on the water and could move fast). She also heads in the direction of any person she sees, most likely hoping for food.

Today i've found her on a nearby office property. That place killed 30 canada geese this summer with an odnr permit, although the geese were only spending the night there and only on the grass (so not even soiling the parking lot). They have now two tin mute swans on the pond, as a deterrent, and I've found Big Bird next to them today. It is so sad she think they might warm up to her one day.

I went to check on her after hours, and since I had been asked to leave that property during my noon incursion, i called out to her from the neighboring property. It took her 10' to walk across the lawn but she came.

I am concerned that the property management might have her killed, or that, as an elderly animal she needs to be looked after. I am thinking she might have been a pet, given the way she looks for human company. She would be much better off on the lake by my office building, but it will take her forever to walk that distance, not to mention she would need an incentive.

Don't crucify me please, but Big Bird did not like small bird seeds, so i bribed her with a bit of bread in hopes she'll let me carry her to 'my' lake. She shrug away slightly when i touched her head and neck but it did't look like she would let me lift her up and carry her. It got dark and Big Bird could not find her way back to the lake, so i had to guide her back to the same lake, for fear she might be in danger on land.

I see that there are programs to cull mute swans, so I am afraid to take her (if i can) to our local wildlife hospital. I took a gosling there this past summer and they euthanized it the next day.

I am looking for advice in terms of: is this swan ok as she is, or does she need intervention? And where i can find someone local to help.

Thank you very much in advance.
