Thanks for the update. The female swan knows from heartbeats and movement in the egg. If the egg goes bad, she will roll it out of the nest. Again, she knows what she is doing and will abandon the eggs if non-viable. It will be interesting to see what the cygnets look like and then, we'll know the species. The Regal Swan
