We have two swans on our local loch.

Our garden leads down to the water's edge and tonight one of the swans came up onto the grass embankment and has been sitting there for 3/4 hours. It seems reluctant to go back into the water.

Can it survive overnight in the garden? Will it be alright?

If it is still there in the morning I will call the Helpline?

Any idea what the problem could be?
