Yes the swan is eating by itself and she actually stood up yesterday. ( sorry for the delay in answering I myself have been under the weather)
I offered her our horses hay soaked in water and a mizture of chicken scratch,layer and horse grain. She made a mess but sure loved it. We are all smiles!
Thank you so much for the info. I will do as your veterinarian requested and keep you posted.
We did try to find a swan rehab in our area but no one rescues "her type". What ever that means!! We do believe she's young as she's only about 14 lbs??? But has good weight.
