Hi Kerri:
I just spoke with one of our veterinarians, Dr. Christopher Brown. We need to know a couple of questions answered:
Is the swan on an I.V.?
Is the swan able to eat by itself?
If it is not able to eat on its own, you can tube feed the swan one of the following products:
OxBow critical care food for herbivores or
EXACT- baby bird food
If the swan can feed on its own, add one of the above products to cracked corn and poultry layer pellets. You can also use poultry crumble pellets. Add a small amount of cracked corn if he is able to eat on his own. The cracked corn acts as a filler and the layer pellets provide nutritional requirements such as minerals and vitamins. The OxBow and EXACT provide extra nutrients for energy. Please let us know how this progresses. The Regal Swan
