Baby swan

Hello,

I live in central Michigan, on a little pond where we have a lot of Canadian geese and two pairs of swans, well both pairs had babies and one set had 4 babies and the other set had 2, Well the younger set of swans (the female) was hit by a car just yesterday and killed, the male swan was swimming around with the 2 babies and the older male of the other set started to attack the other younger male and the female also started to attack him........
Most of the day this went on.

This morning I was out side and the older set of swans were in the pond with there 4 young and the younger male swan was no where to be found and there two babies were peeping very loud on the shoreline, The next thing I know the older male swan came crashing into the shore area and picked up one of the little babies (from the young couple of swans) and started shaking it and biting it til it was dead the other little one just ran towards the road, So I picked it up and brought it to safety.
What I need to know is what to do next, I bought it some corn mash and gave it some water and a warm blanket and it seems to be very comfortable and sleeping and keeps cuddling with me.
Can I raise him til he can go on his own on the pond?

Not sure on the laws.... But I have raised ducks, geese and chickens on our farm for many years, is there anything special I should know or check out.
Please help me out. Thank you, Beth
