Injured cygnet taken to the vet for 5 days: Will its parents take it back?

It's been over 10 days and the parents are still tolerating the cygnet on the lake. We are watching them closely and will move the cygnet to a secure area on a different lake if necessary. In the meantime, the cygnet is bottom feeding in shallow water and we will work on getting it to eat from a bucket.

We have one other problem, a pair of swan parents and their four cygnets walked down the golf course to another lake which had a pair of adult swans. There were no fights and we were able to catch the parents and cygnets and move them back to their lake, however, one of the cygnets was injured in the process and examined by our vet. The cygnet requires tube feeding three to four times a day for five days or until it is eating on it's own. I have three questions: 1) Will the parents take the cygnet back? 2) If they will not take the cygnet back, could the cygnet be placed with another pair of parent swans with cygnets? 3) Could the cygnet be placed with 7 week old cygnet in a secure lake area and learn from him?
