Swan Attack

After some reading on this site, I understand partly what is going on here on our lake. About two years ago a pair of young swans, male and female, were brought in by a resident to our 40 acre lake. They were fairly peaceful until very recently, just swimming around the lake. For the past few weeks we haven't seen them together anymore, always separately. I rarely noticed them at odds with the geese. But now. We are concerned for the safety of six baby geese, first appearing about 7 to 10 days ago, even though the male swan has not made a move against them. The male swan comes up into our yard and chases the male father goose all over, into the water, back into our yard, constantly. I guess he is an easy target because he won't leave his family. We go out there and the swan leaves for a while, then returns and repeats it all over again. The female goose stays with the babies, the swan not looking twice at them. Occasionally the goose family escapes into wooded areas at either side of our yard. Today the female swan showed up to join in with the goose bashing. Yes, I read about how territorial swans are and how they don't like geese in their space. So how can we temporarily stop the swans from terrorizing this goose family, short of putting up a fence?
