Recent newspaper articles here in the state have declared that Maryland has destroyed 4000 swans in the last several months. We estimate there are approx 500 left on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The Humane Society.Annapolis Naval Academy grad and talk show host Montel Williams are doing what they can to bring attention to the issue but to no avail.
Last year i was told by the folks at Knox Swans that they had volunteered to help remove swans and relocate them to Ohio and were FLATLY turned down by the Maryland DNA
