Yes, I am sure it was the male. We sometimes feed the swans and can tell the difference when they come over. The male swam right to me when he saw me outside today and the babies were with him. Is it possible that not all of the cygnets were born and the mother is still on the nest? Unfortunately, the nest is on an area of the pond that is not in our view.
