Hi. We live on a very large pond with a pair of swans. I have only seen the female a few times in the past 6 weeks so I know that she has been nesting. Today I saw the male swan with six new cygnets, but no female. Now that the babies are here, wouldn't she always be with them? I am very worried about her as last week when I saw her she was very thin. Is there some other reason she wouldn't be with the family?
