Hi Bill:

We're not sure about the type of grass that you are seeking. We suggest everyone feed the swans something very simple and cost effective, romaine lettuce. This provides them with greenery as they will also eat the grass around their habitat as well as aquatic vegetation. Some prefer lemon grass. Again, we're not sure where you would find these types of grasses for sale.

It would be better if you DO NOT feed them protein powder as too much protein can cause a condition called "angel wing", also known as reverse wing or slipped wing. We would suggest that you mix the cracked corn with poultry layer pellets. The poultry layer pellets will provide them with the required vitamins and minerals while the cracked corn acts as a filler so they do not feel hungry. We hope this information is of benefit to you.
