We have two Mute swans on our farm they had five young. They hatched the first week of May. Our problem is the mother keeps trying to take the young off. We got them for our 98 yr. old Grandmother who love to watch them. The male she has had for 5 years. The female we just got last year. So this is the first time with young. Why does she do this? I have been reading some of the post. You said that around 8 months they will start chasing the young off. Does this mean we will not be able to keep any of the young? Please help.
