Hi Kas
It is normal for the parents to chase the juveniles once they are old enough to survive on their own and prior to the next nesting season. The parents know if there are limited resources and how many swans the habitat can support. So, you probably won't be able to keep any more on your pond. To do so, may cause fights with severe injuries or illness/death from the stress of the fights.
Please be aware that Ohio and many other states will kill Mute Swans even on private lakes because they want to introduce the larger Trumpeter Swans for Trophy Waterfowl hunting purposes. So, you need to be careful that your young swans are pinioned (cannot fly) and are found a good safe home. If you have problems with finding a home, please let us know. The Regal Swan
