Hi A.J. Usually,broken legs in waterfowl are difficult cases. However, depending on the severity, location of the break, age and condition of the affected swan and the expertise of the avian veterinarian handling the individual case are all determining factors on whether treatment is going to be successful. The major issue is to get the swan immediate veterinary assistance or it will have no chance for survival.
