The swans were born and raised on our property. The parents abandoned them about a month ago. The parents still swim around the lake, and keep a good distance from the cygnets. One cygnet has a sliced foot where the web is actually split. The other one has a bad eye, and it looks like he lost a fight with another swan. They have been picked on, by other swans on the lake. Parents are VERY small and look very young. Is it legal for us to capture the swans? We have a fenced in area for them to walk up onto our property and we feed them out of large containers, so it would be very easy to capture them, and we are very concerned that they have not yet developed their flight feathers.
