A friend had a pair of swans on her pond, but one of the swans has died. It was a Whooper swan. We feel sorry for the remaining swan and are wondering if we should try to buy it a friend. Will it accept another swan? Does the newly introduced swan have to be of the opposite sex and of the same species in order to be accepted? Where can we buy a swan? We are in Ohio.
