Swan nest flooded, mother pacing

Good Morning. I’m in Wichita, Kansas, and have looked for local resources to answer my questions but am coming up empty. Perhaps you can help me. There is a pair of Swans on a pond by home and the female has been sitting on her nest for about 8 weeks now. Then last night the rains came and flooded her nest. Looking thru my binoculars I can’t see any sign of the eggs but the Mother is swimming close to the nest in an almost pacing manner. Can those eggs survive? If they can’t will she know that and get back to her life? Will she mate again next year?
Thanks for your time and knowledge. I’ll be looking for your reply.
