Black Mute Swan? Do Mute Swans mate with other types of swans?

Hi, we bought a house recently that has a roughly 1/2 acre pond with a small island and which came with a female mute swan. We learned from the former owner that she was previously mated with a male black swan and they lived there together for six or seven years and had babies each year. The male died a year or two ago and we estimate the female to be about 9 years old now. Since we don't know much about swans we have started to research what foods to provide etc. and are making good progress and she seems happy. In our research, it looks like there is no such thing as a black mute swan. Is that true? If so, do swans mate with other types of swans? The neighbors have confirmed the black male part so we are convinced its true although it seems unlikely to us two different breeds of swan would mate. It seems swans are social animals and so we are thinking of trying to find a new male swan and see if they will mate. How hard would that be and what should we be looking for? Our pond is isolated and there are no other swans anywhere nearby. If we brought a male in, would she be inclined to reject him or would he be the last male on earth from her persepctive? Should we look for a mute swan or will she be looking for a swan that is black? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
