Lone swan cygnet

Hello, I live in Alaska and a friend of mine recently told me about a lone swan cygnet that has been on his lake for the last 4 days. It is feeding but all alone. It seems that the other Alaskan swans have already migrated.
Is this bird safe? Should my friend do something for its survival? I keep chickens and ducks which is why he came to me but -- obviously -- I know nothing about this.
Any advice? Many thanks for your help!
Best,
