Sometimes taping will work. Although it may be a late attempt, try the taping and ask the vet how long to see if it works---maybe a couple of weeks. If the taping does not work, euthanasia is the only humane procedure. As much as it pains us to recommend this, we have tried surgery with little success and the leg still did not respond positively.
