In Response To: why does injured swan stay on pond and now plucking feathers. (Donna)
Hi Donna:
She is probably molting (losing feathers for the winter) but they may not grow back in time for flying if she is even able to fly. There is a breeder and swan care taker in Illinois, named Bob Knox of Knox Swans (847) 875-3947. We are not sure how far you live from Bob, but he may be able to help you, especially if the swan needs to be moved for the winter. The Regal Swan
