I had 2 Black Swans for 2 years-Buck and Mimi. I am sad and heartbroken to share that Mimi was attacked and killed by a predator yesterday. Today I found Buck to be withdrawn and not interested in eating. He did not come to the car to get his bread nor did he eat the feed I left for him. I will continue to watch him closely.

Not that I can replace Mimi, however my goal is to find him a mate. I have checked some sites and have found that Black swans are already sold out for the spring. If anyone has information that they can share with me to locate a black female swan, I would appreciate your help. Thanks, and wish me luck.

I do have the Swan Keeper Handbook and I do read this blog daily. Hopefully I will luck out and be successful at this.
