Hi Rachel:

The swan has angel wing (reversed, slipped or backwards wing) as it is commonly caused. Most believe that this is a nutritional problem that occurred when the swan did not receive adequate or correct dietary needs. At an older age, especially, this is usually a non-reversible condition. It also appears that it may have the Flamingo pink feather syndrome. You may wish to contact Wendy Hermon at Swan Lifeline in Eton, England so that she may affect a rescue if necessary to bathe the swan and provide it with veterinary care if she deems necessary.
