Hi Pat:
This additional information is much more insightful. Humans are his protectors from other aggressive swans so he is using you more as a protection agent rather than being imprinted. GOOD thing. If he is allowing the other swan to be near him, then this usually means that the other swan is a female and he may have already found his mate without our intervention. Great News! Keep us posted.
