This is the second year in a row that our lake has had the honor of hosting a single mutant swan. I believe it is a male. While last year was quite mild (we live outside of Cleveland, Ohio), this winter is starting off with a nasty storm and very cold weather. Today, the swan seemed to be frozen in the middle of the lake. He primps himself, turns around and sometimes seems to try to move his legs, but it appears that he can't get loose. Is he trapped? If so, what can we do to rescue him? I have called local shelters, etc, but no one seems to have any answers.
