Hi Cathy:

Incubation of the eggs is usually the female swan's task.
Depending on the individual swan and species of swan, males may assist with the incubation but, only while the female is away from the nest bathing or feeding. So, the propensity that the male swan will now take over the sole incubation of the eggs is not that probable.

A male swan may or may not take a new mate. Some males will live their lives without trying to re-mate. The Regal Swan
