Thankyou for your response. Firstly his aggressive behaviour is definately worse at breeding time, his hormones are right up there now, so yes that is part of the problem but he is just quite a spoilt male all year round. He has attacked both my husband and myself although it is mostly me that feeds him every morning. It is not practicable to restrict his access from the lake - there is at present an electric wire fence round it but he just walks under it. We do have a pen that we can put him in for time out - its just that it isn't always right here by the house that he attacks. He has bailed the neighbours up in their paddocks over the other side of the lake. We don't get to hear about these attacks till an hour or two later. Sometimes he attacks us as we walk round the lake - again too far to carry him back here to his pen, so we will get the pen ready close to the house here and try to modify his behaviour, we can catch him easily enough when he comes up for feeding - I usually run away from him when he starts to attack, so catching him then may be a bit more difficult but we will try this time out as we need to do something! Many thanks
for your help.
