Hello, I live at an apartment complex where we have a pair of mated swans. I've been here 4 years and they have been together all this time. I heard that the female was on it's nest, probably on eggs and was attacked by something and sadly died. The male is alone now. Will he accept another female and if so, when should she be introduced? I would hate for him to go through the winter, which is very cold here in Indiana, alone. Any advice?
