I have a few more questions that I hope you won't mind answering:
1. Is it possible to estimate the age of a swan by appearance?
2. What is the difference between poulty pellets and poultry layered pellets?
3. When feeding swans, is it acceptable to put the food in the shallow water, or is it best to put it on the ground or in some type of container? If a container is best, what type do you suggest?
4. When do swans begin nesting?
5. One swan, Bella, who had been hanging around my property for the last month and a half, was in the shallow water near my dock when I first saw her the weend before last. When I went out to feed her, her wings were extended to the side in the water, and the best way to describe her was that she looked "flat." I didn't see her leave, so I am unsure if she got back to "normal." I did not see her this past weekend, and I am worried. Do swans sometimes exhibit this posture?
