In Response To: Swan incubation period: Swan sitting on eggs for over a month (Dana Flynn)
Hi Dana:
Yes, there is a possibility that the eggs may not hatch, but the mother swan will know if this is going to happen and will eventually leave the eggs. Incubation, depending on swan species, usually lasts between 30-45 days, so something should be happening shortly if the eggs are viable. We would suggest not doing anything as the swan will know when it is time to abandon the eggs. The Regal Swan
