Today I came home and watched a monther swan push one of her babies out of the pond behind my house. I went over to see if it was okay and it was. By the time I got back to my house, both swan parents came to the shore and pick the baby up by his neck and threw him repeatedly. I shooed them away and the baby was barely alive. Why do they do this? This is the second year that my neighbors and I have witnessed this.
