Hello. I have a mute swan pair (pinned, 5 years old) and their babies (male and female - 2 year olds) have arrived back on the lake. The baby male is beating up on Dad (Dad is bigger, however, he gets exhausted trying to chase them off the lake) by jumping him, pecking at his neck and he has almost drown him. My pair is now holding up on our grassy lawn and is afraid to go into the water. The babies are still in the water and continue to try and get to my pair. Eegads! how long is this going to last. I cancelled my vacation so I can protect my pair. Will the babies ever fly back to the lake they were in prior? Will they continue to fight over territory or is this a Spring thing?
