winter in the barn

Hi another season another question...I live near St Louis and have been battling freezing temps and cannot keep my pond open this year. We have 2 1700 gallon submersible pumps going and still they are not keeping the pond open.
My question is how long can I keep my pair in my barn horse stall? I can provide heated buckets of water in there and keep them safe. Just wondering if they can stay in a week or so til the temps
are supposed to get better? Any suggestions to make them as comfortable as possible would be great.

Obviously they will not have a swim spot for a bit. It this ok on their legs? We feed high protein chicken feed, lettuce and bread daily. Let me know what else I can do. Thank you. Shelly
