Hi Marie:

Yes, swans can become dehydrated, but nature knows best and the females will come off of the eggs to take a rest and cool off. You may not see them leave the nest, but they will during late evening or early morning hours. If this becomes a major concern, you can leave a bowl of fresh clean water near the nests.
