Ask the Swan Specialist

Feeding swans

I live in northern Wisconsin on the Clam River. We have a number of swans swimming in the river (it does not freeze in the winter). I would like to know if I can feed them something and just how I would do that. Maybe just throwing it in the river or putting something on shore?
