A white swan landed at my small pond/lake early this week in Marietta, GA. It is still hanging around the lake as of today, Friday. I'm not sure if it is male or female? How to tell? Also, would like it to stay...it was nesting inside my fenced area on Wed. evening and it took me and another neighbor to coax it out the back fence and back into the lake area. What do they like to eat? Also, is it possible to tell the sex and why would it be traveling solo?

Can this swan be aggressive towards people or pets? I have 2 dogs, 3 cats. It seems interested in me as I talk to it thru the fence every evening and in the morning. It seems lonely or lost? I'm excited as they are God's beautiful creatures.
