Mama Swan seems to have nested on the other side of the path again, like last year, instead of close to the water. The area on the other side of the path is dangerous for her because she is exposed to dogs, she is quite vulnerable there. Fencing her nest off might make her chose a new location that is even farther from the water. Maybe she does not nest at the usual place because the usual place is muddy or otherwise unfit, because the water level is very high? Any suggestion out there, to decrease Mama's vulnerability?
