Just reflecting.....

With a current population of 6 males and 2 females (already paired) one wonders what the reasoning is behind the addition of another young male, particularly in the nesting season when all the swans are keyed up.

Although not a sure thing....I don't think Precious will be the problem - the really aggressive swan now is one of the "Two Brothers" who attacks Tristan whenever he's near enough, as well as the other swans. He may become even more difficult with yet another male dropping in.

The timing does seem a little odd.

Perhaps one of the experts could shed some light on this decision.
