Mother Swan laid her first egg this morning and Dad has started to stand guard by the nest, so they appear to have made up their minds.

After conversation last week with Ziggy,it was decided to wait to see which they would decide on since at that time she was wavering between two sites other than the original one from 3 years ago.

I have been spending considerable time keeping an eye on them, and will check as much as possible. Maybe Ziggy can suggest ongoing measures too.

Meantime, Precious and Marlika have their nest set up in the wetlands; both have been seen occasionally sitting on it, "trying it out." Precious is in his Guardian mode now, so if he's near the road, take care!
