Here is today's account of the volunteer who gives Boy his arthritis medication every morning:
"This morning, I headed down to the lagoon, and there was dear old Boy curled up snoozing on the shore, in exactly the same spot - for the THIRD day in a row.
It's such a happy thing to start talking to him walking down the little embankment, see his head pop up and hear the first snort! He waits until I get right up to him, then stands up, fluffs his wings, lifts his head, snorts again - then opens up the bill... "OK, you can just drop it right in here, please."
Once he's had his tidbits, he looks for the shoe-lace to untie.
It would be so neat to know what he's thinking. But beyond that, just the communication is so wonderful.
