Hi i live on a boat in northamptonshire UK.
A pair of swans mated and had 3 cygnets, the cob was injured and took away by the rspca. Mum has been rearing the young on her own successfully. The cob has been brought back its about 8-9 weeks since the injury, but it seems he hasn't joined the family yet..
She flattens her neck backwards making a flat heart shape with the body when he attempts to move towards her?? Just wondered what this behaviour is ans what the outcome may be...? Thankyou for any comment.
