Hi,
Our approximately 10 year old male mute swan died this week and we wonder if we should replace him as soon as possible with another male for our now lone female.

She is about 6 years old.

1. Should we replace the male mate & how soon is best?
2. There were no signs of any sickness or injury, no blood or loose feathers so it was not an animal attack - is it possible that he may of died from "natural causes" at age 10?
