A pond across from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT has a swan couple that had 6 babies last Spring. Only two survived to where their feathers are almost all white. I just noticed two days ago that the parents and one cygnet have gone (they usually go somewhere else for the winter) and they have left one cygnet behind! What does this mean and can I do anything to help? There are loads of geese and ducks on the pond.
