What threat do geese pose to swans? The male swan continually chases all geese off of our small lake. They are permitted along the shoreline, but not in the lake.

The Swan does have a mate and they've now had 7 cygnets. But it seems to me that the Swan was chasing the Geese before the cygnets were born.
