I have a pair of black swans. They are 2 years old. They live in our half an acre backyard covered with grass. They swim in our 20 ft by 40 ft swimming pool that we dedicated to them. They seem to be happy. I put them at night in an 8 ft by 8 ft barn that I built for them.

My question is: Where would be a proper place to lay straws for them so they can build a nest. The only safe place is their barn since there are predetors that live in the area.
