Thanks so much for your comments. Yes it can fly, it just stays here. When on land we cannot get with in 50 ft of it but when in water can get closer maybe 20'. Tried taking out food but could not get close. It has been here for 3 months. Now it lays on the ice at night. Sunday morning I thought it was frozen in, but was just setting on top. We live in Ohio so colder weather and about a month and a half of frozen pond is coming. How do we catch? Do not want it to die.
