Ask the Swan Specialist

In Response To: solitary swan (Linda)

Hi I live in ct. I pass by a large lake on my way home every day. I have been watching a beautiful white swan on the lake. While beautiful it makes me very sad because he or she is always alone. I keep watching for another goose but I never see one. I'm thinking of hanging out for the day just to make sure i'm correct. If it is alone is there a way to tell (easily) if it's a male or female? Would it be a terrible idea to try to introduce another of the opposite sex??
